Drop-Count for LootCount in short
It will maintain a database over drop-rates (how often and from what mob) for items dropped by mobs - viewable on-screen at mouseover. Also records vendors, books, quest-givers, and best drop-area.

WoW 5.2: "Heavy" database clean-up. Sorry for the CPU load when you first log in. It will be going on for some minutes.

Pandaria: If you hacked your DropCount code to make it "work" (not crash) for Pandaria, please do not send your data. If you're lucky, DropCount v1.40 will fix your database.

Database
Please send your collected data to "dropcount@ybeweb.com". Doing so will help you to participate in the data that others collect. The collected data can be found in the "/WTF/Account//SavedVariables" directory. The filename is "LootCount_DropCount.lua". This file does not contain any information about your servers and/or character names or any other personal information.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Functionality
DropCount is an addon initially made for my own purpose, as I wanted some method of knowning where to go for materials needed for my professions. Later it has grown in functionality. Today it contains quite a few other functions too.
DropCount can tell you:
o what items a mob drops, and how often
o what mobs drop a specific item, and how often
o which vendors sell a specific item
o where there are quests you have not done
o where there are books you have not read
o where to go for grinding (still needs more data from you users on this)

The collected information can be viewed in several ways:
Item-drops
1: When you mouse-over a mob, you can hold down to display a list of items the mob may drop.
2: When you mouse-over an item, you can press to display the mobs that drops this item.

Vendors
1: When you mouse-over a vendor you can hold down to display a list of items the vendor sells
2: When you mouse-over an item, you can press to display the vendors that sells this item.
3: You can mouse-over a vendor-icon on the minimap or worldmap to display a list of items the vendor sells
4: Type "/lcdc item" plus the item you want to check. You can enter full links, numeric item-IDs, or the item name.

Books
1: You can mouse-over a book-icon on the minimap or worldmap to display its name
2: Type "/lcdc book" plus the title of the book. If the book is known, a list of location(s) will be displayed.
3: Type "/lcdc book zone" to display a list of all the known books in your current zone.

Best drop-area
1: Mouse-over an item in your bags

Search
See above at "vendors" number 4, and "books" number 2 and 3.

Colour coding
In the list of mobs that drops the item, the mobs are colour-coded from red to green. A red mob-name is a mob that you have not killed many of, and the reported drop-rate may be inaccurate. The more mobs you kill, the greener the name gets - and the reported drop-rate will be a lot more accurate.

The data
The data supplied with DropCount comes from users of DropCount who has shared their data by sending it to "dropcount@ybeweb.com". Please support the developement of this addon and send you data. If you really want to help, send your data once a month or so. It will help keep the data at a peak level.

Sharing data
If you are in a guild, DropCount will connect to the guild data-channel and immediately start adding kills and loot from other guildes to your database. No more set-up required.

Special items
Normal items are counted on a per-kill basis.
Profession-drops are counted on a per-prof-loot basis.
Quest-items are not counted, as they will require you to be on a quest for it to drop. These items will however show up as "Quest" in stead of a percentage.
