An addon for World of Warcraft by Leatrix
8708654What does it do?
Leatrix Maps is a makeover addon for Blizzard maps. It allows you to reveal unexplored areas, show quest details by clicking on quest objectives, change the map scale and change the map opacity. It also allows you to use the mousewheel to traverse floors (in zones such as Karazhan).
Leatrix Maps is fast and efficient (it only uses around 150k of memory) and, to my knowledge, is bug-free and taint-free (no maps with green textures or frame corruption caused by combat).
Options
You can access the options panel by typing /ltm or /leamaps. The options panel allows you to change the settings used by the addon. All options are saved account-wide so you can set it and forget it. You may wish to open the map while changing the options to see the results.
In addition, a checkbox called "Reveal Map" is shown at the bottom of the world map. You can check or uncheck this to show/hide unexplored areas.
You cannot use the options panel during combat due to a restriction in the Blizzard API.
Notes
This entire addon is included with the quality of life addon, Leatrix Plus. If you use Leatrix Plus, you should not use Leatrix Maps with it. Leatrix Maps is basically the mapping code from Leatrix Plus in it's own little addon. Call it an experiment if you like.
Leatrix Maps can only be used with the windowed map (not the fullscreen map). However, you can rescale the map and you can click quest objectives to see quest details so, in my view, it's better than the fullscreen map (no blackout bars!)
